Ian Campbell, MRICS, MAPM, is a Local Director in our Newcastle office and is a practicing quantity surveyor and project manager with over 30 years experience in property and construction.
Ian has an in-depth working knowledge of all areas of development, especially the education and public sector markets. He has recently managed and delivered our services on Newcastle University's new £22m Student Support Services building - an iconic development acting as the University's city centre front door; the new £48m Northumberland Academy; Stockton's new £24m sixth form college; and Newcastle Medical School's £10m remodelling programme to provide 21st century research and laboratory facilities - a logistically complex project consisting of multiple mini-projects carried out in and around fully occupied areas. Ian has also delivered North Tyneside's £12m Segedunum Project - the archaeological excavation and interpretation of Hadrian Wall's most easterly Roman fort together with a new interactive museum and viewing tower, multi-million pound housing regeneration schemes in North Shields and Killingworth, a £35m shopping centre in Ashton, and several major commercial office developments.
Outside the office, Ian is a life-long Newcastle United supporter, but for enjoyment he takes to fell walking and rock scrambling, and is an avid reader.
