Recent projects include the construction and fitting out of a new 400,000 sq ft factory for Thorn Lighting in Co. Durham, the development of a new Master Plan for Durham County Cricket Club and the development and delivery of a Master Plan for Alnwick Castle in Northumberland.

Mark has particular interests in emerging trends and technology and has been an early adopter of tools such as project extranets, electronic measuring and billing systems, cost planning systems and the direct measurement of electronic drawings.

A particular specialism is whole life and lifecycle costing which is delivered under PFI, and BSF, as well as to Local Authorities, Universities and Colleges.

Having been trained to BS EN 12973:2000 standards in Value Management at Herriott Watt University; Mark is a capable workshop facilitator using the techniques learned for both Risk and Value Management exercises.

Outside work Mark enjoys spending time with his two young children, anything gadgets, reading historical fiction and is a keen skier. Other interests involve attending live music events but this is now limited to the Tweenies and Disney on Ice!
