CDM Coordinator / Health & Safety Consultant, Summers Inman, Newcastle

Our Newcastle office is looking for an individual to fill the role of CDM coordinator / health and safety consultant to support and work alongside the Head of CDM and Senior CDMC. Primarily the work revolves around the role of the CDM coordinator as required under CDM 2007, but is not restricted to this as we also offer the following wide ranging services to our clients:

* Health and safety consultancy;
* Health and safety audits;
* Principal contractor.

Requirements:

Your personal skills are just as important as qualifications and experience. As a minimum we would expect you to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and have good base communication skills both verbal and written. Qualifications wise you should already have or be working towards base qualifications such as NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction. You will already have or be working towards membership of the APS and /or IOSH. Some degree of knowledge in the construction, procurement and design processes would be beneficial.

Trainee Quantity Surveyor, Summers Inman, Newcastle

Summers-Inman is an expanding multi-disciplinary practice that can offer trainees, graduates and current professional\'s good opportunities to expand their knowledge and experience. Summers-Inman is Investor in People accredited and through our mentoring system and our commitment to personal and professional development we offer all grades of staff ways to develop.

For ten years our Newcastle Office has operated an undergraduate training scheme with candidates studying on the part time degree course at Northumbria University and gaining valuable experience in a busy office with a structured training programme. Candidates are then mentored through to the successful completion of their APC to achieve chartered status.

Due to an expanding workload, vacancies exist for quantity surveying candidates who are currently on the part time quantity surveying degree course or who are currently on the full time course and wish to transfer to the part time course.

We are currently considering candidates for:

* Year 2
* Year 4
* Year 5

Requirements:

We would expect you to be on an RICS recognised degree course in Quantity Surveying and able to transfer to Northumbria University if not already there.
