James is a Director in our Birmingham office leading the Quantity Surveying / Project Management teams for Summers-Inman specialising in Commercial, Residential, Education & Civil (Highways, Water & Rail) sectors working for a wide variety of Public / Private sector Clients providing Cost Planning & Management, Contract Management, Project Management and Development Monitoring services.
In addition, James also deals with construction claims and offers contractual advice regularly to Clients alongside acting as an Expert Witness in such matters in either Adjudications, Arbitration or Litigation with experience on large international projects to local developments on wide range of Contracts covering JCT / NEC and FIDIC.
James is a Fellow of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (and a Assessor for the RICS) and also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, alongside being a regular Lecturer at Birmingham University tutoring students undertaking Construction degrees.
James is a highly experienced and skilled Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager / Employer’s Agent who has the ability to quickly identify problems and provide solutions to Clients, which has enabled him to gain the trust of many within the industry. James is able to work under great pressure, able to manage delivery teams effectively and always delivers on time.
In his spare time James enjoys Golf, going to the gym and is a keen football supporter (Aston Villa for his sins).
