Project Outline: Summers-Inman were appointed in 2015 by McDonald’s Restaurants UK (and their Franchisees) to provide cost management services on their Experience of the Future Programme. The programme involved the remodelling and refurbishment of all McDonald’s restaurants to incorporate the latest digital customer service kiosks and the new ‘made for you’ food preparation operating model.

Roles and Achievements:
Summers-Inman provided cost management services from initial Feasibility through to Final Account on 140 restaurants over the four year period.

The value of the individual projects ranged from £250,000 up to £1,300,000, incorporating significant extensions and re-modelling of internal layouts. The projects were located throughout the South, South East, East Midlands, East Anglia, Yorkshire and the North East of England.

Summers-Inman’s methodical and thorough checking of Principle Contractors and specialist suppliers final accounts was acknowledged by McDonald’s and their Franchisees as being of the highest quality. These detailed checking procedures have already reduced the clients final costs by 2.6m across the 110 stores final accounted to this date.
