Project Outline: Sited next door to South Yorkshire Housing Associations ‘White Willows’ extra care home in Sheffield, the scheme comprised of 42 single occupancy residences in four blocks centred around communal meeting spaces and gardens areas. The site was previously occupied by a healthcare centre which required demolition and adjacent to a care home and residential dwellings with public footpaths crossing the site. Footpaths and mains services required diverting around the site.

Roles and Achievements: Hazlehurst was completed in 2017 and was within the agreed budget. Due to our involvement as Employer’s Agent and Principal Designer, we were able to reduce an initial eight-week Statutory Authority delay to just three weeks. We maintained good relationships with our client and tenant liaison bodies throughout the project, and are proud of our involvement in delivering enhanced retired living facilities.
