Project Outline: Our commission incorporated full Quantity Surveying and Cost Management services, including feasibility studies, business cases, detailed cost planning, procurement advice, tender documentation, value management and risk assessments.
Services: The site was the former market site in Sowerby Bridge and required a whole host of enabling works including flood alleviation and riverbank works.

As cost managers we were fully instrumental in formulating the target cost price, working closely with the contractor and sub-contractors to ensure the affordability of the project. Very high ratings for energy efficiency and sustainability were required. Workshops were held and options developed. We carried out cost appraisals, including detailed life-cycle exercises, which produced the best value-for-money solution and contributed with BREEAM points. The project was delivered on time and within the target cost.
