Project Outline: The Buttery project involved the extensive refurbishment of an existing two-storey building and the construction of a new build extension. The facility includes presentation and social areas, media booths, office accommodation, collaborative working spaces, meeting rooms, and a refreshment area. The building design was focused on supporting meeting carbon reduction targets, and the existing building was upgraded to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating. The project also included repointing and remedial measures for the Grade II Listed Waterhouse Building.

Roles and Achievements: Summers-Inman provided Employers Agent and Cost Consultancy services from the project’s inception through to completion. We ensured that the project progressed effectively , meeting challenges including planning requirements and complexities arising from the dormant state of the building. We fostered a collaborative working approach to deliver added value.
