Summers-Inman is Proud to Support National Apprenticeship Week 2025

Summers-Inman is proud to support National Apprenticeship Week 10th-16th February 2025, marking the 18th annual celebration of apprenticeships.

A week-long celebration that brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy.

‘NAW 2025 encourages everyone to consider and celebrate how apprenticeships and skills help individuals develop rewarding careers and employers to develop a workforce with future-ready skills. Together we will inspire the nation with engaging stories of apprentice and learner progression – sharing their increased confidence, skills, knowledge and how such programmes have kick-started incredible careers.’

Award-winning construction and property consultancy, Summers-Inman, are pleased to continue to invest in the training opportunities available to all staff and actively engage with education partners to engage as many young people as possible to work within the industry.

Ewen McRobie, associate director at Summers-Inman Newcastle said:

“It is essential that students become more interested and knowledgeable about construction careers and all the industry has to offer when they are much younger – not just at undergraduate level. They need to take time to decide on which roles to pursue and the education sector needs to gear up to provide better advice.

“The earlier students can be working towards a construction career by choosing the right subjects for GCSE and A-level studies, the better.

“We have a young and vibrant team and it’s a pleasure to see them grow in knowledge and confidence each day.”

Summers-Inman offer many apprenticeship schemes to support the construction industry, with roles including; business administration, IT and data management.

There are also opportunities for surveying apprenticeship degree students, studying within quantity surveying and building surveying, to secure placements and gain practical experience.

A number of previous year placement students continue to work at Summers-Inman – a credit to the level of support and hands on experience that Summers-Inman are committed to deliver to their team.

Mark Dutton, director at Summers-Inman Newcastle added:

“Our people make the business. We champion diversity and have played a key part in promoting the industry to women. Additionally, we have a strong record of supporting individuals to reach their full potential through training and career support. We achieved Investors in People over 25 years ago and really pride ourselves on providing excellent opportunities to people at all stages of their career.

“We are incredibly pleased to offer such varied and interesting training opportunities for young people. Apprentices are vital to our business and a key part of our success.

“Apprenticeships allow people to study for a qualification and gain real world skills that can drastically improve their future earning power, providing them with the skills and attitude to build successful careers.”
