QS Associate Director / Local Director: Edinburgh (FULL-TIME)

About the role

We are currently seeking a Chartered Quantity Surveyor at Associate Director level and will consider Senior Quantity Surveyors who have sufficient experience to take the next step in their career.  We will also consider Local Director appointment depending on experience. You will be assisting with the management of a team of Quantity Surveyors within our Edinburgh office.  You will be responsible for QS project delivery and business development and will have autonomy with support across the Practice.  You will manage and deliver existing QS projects for both public and private sector clients including residential, education, student accommodation and funding institutions.  Ideally you will have:

  • Experience working for a consultancy in a Senior / Associate PQS role
  • Confidence and experience as a client-facing project lead
  • A good understanding and knowledge of the local market
  • A proven track record in business development and securing repeat and new business
  • Experience in managing and mentoring QS staff
  • Extensive technical experience across various sectors and client bases
  • Good knowledge of value engineering and risk management
  • Practical experience of using the principal standard forms of building contracts including NEC3/4
  • Development Monitoring and Employers’ Agent experience
  • Affordable housing experience
  • Experience of managing services under a BSI ISO 9001 accredited Quality Management System
  • Full UK driving licence
