Quantity Surveyor: Edinburgh (Full-time)

About the role

Due to increasing workload we are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor in our Edinburgh office, assisting our establish cost consultancy team in a wide range of duties, including:

  • Preparation of cost estimates, cost plans, tender documents, interim valuations of construction.
  • Providing general support in cost management and financial reporting.
  • Attending meetings to provide QS input, review project progress and present project data as appropriate.
  • Working on own projects as appropriate.
  • Assisting in the role of Employer’s Agent on a variety of projects with a view to taking the lead including chairing and minuting progress meetings.

This role provides a challenging and rewarding opportunity to develop within a dynamic team, supported by a medium-sized multi-professional consultancy.

About you

Ideally you will have:

  • Quantity Surveying BSc or BSc (Hons) degree (accredited by RICS) or near completion of course
  • A desire to work towards MRICS status
  • Relevant work experience, gained either post-graduation or during placements
  • Understanding of the principal standard forms of building contracts
  • Familiarity with cost estimating and measurement software
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Desire to find a long-term opportunity and progress your career with a leading consultancy
  • Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle
